Where the Truth about Today's Market Really Lies

RISMedia, Jan. 3, 2008 - By Eugene L. Meyer - "The latest news on the real estate front was either calmly reassuring or deeply alarming, depending on your point of view. The lead paragraph on the National Association of Realtors' Nov. 21 release reported that home sales prices actually rose in most metropolitan markets. The Associated Press lead, however, emphasized the negative statistic that the number of home sales had fallen in 46 states during the third quarter. Both were correct." Japanese Brokers Group Re-Visits NJMLS

Japanese Brokers

NJMLS Executive Director, Tina Griffin, met with representatives from the Japanese Real Estate Brokers Group to review the governance structure, policies and systems of a successful U.S. MLS organization. This was the third visit by the Japanese Brokers Group, who chose the NJMLS because of its state-of-the-art database applications, and its 30 years of experience in operating a membership organization designed to facilitate the cooperative sale of real estate among its REALTOR® members.

NJMLS Newsletter - January 2008

Words from Tina Griffin, Executive Director

December was an exciting month. The 2007 TriplePlay Convention was terrific. The NJMLS Holiday Decorating Challenge, where staff members put their creative talents to the test decorating their work areas, was our best challenge to date. Visitors to our office in December were treated to "The March of The Wooden Soldiers," "Christmas Under the Sea," and "A Country Christmas." It was a fun way to end a year in which we committed ourselves to "Raising the Bar of Excellence." This issue of our newsletter illustrates how far we raised that bar in 2007. We look forward to continuing that effort in 2008 .

Fun at TriplePlay

This year's TriplePlay Realtor® Convention in Atlantic City was a huge success. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to visit with us and play our NJMLS Price is Right Plinko Game .

What Members Have to Say

Having just devoted the last 90 minutes to working my way, via phone and website, through another MLS, I just had to let you know how user-friendly, informative and COMPLETE the NJMLS is. I've gotten so used to just clicking to get forms, information on hundreds of useful topics, links to important sites and, of course, help just a phone call away, that I just assumed that is the way all MLS's worked. I will never take it for granted again! Thank You .
